"If your life is a leaf that the seasons tear off and condemn, [He] will bind you with love that is graceful and green as a stem."

In His Holy Name
Enhance Your Spiritual Connection through the Power and meaning of God's Holy Names

Throughout history, God has sought to build strong relationships with His people. Long before He sent His Son to earth, God began revealing Himself to mankind. One of the most significant methods He used was through sharing His personal name. Each divine name reveals to us some quality or characteristic of God.
No one name could ever reveal the full nature of God, but in the Bible, God reveals himself through nearly 1000 names. Each one of His names is used to reveal another distinct aspect of his character and nature.
So, who is God to you?
Is He Ēlohim, your Most High God,
Jehovah Shalom, the Lord of Peace,
Ēl Shaddai, the All Sufficient One,
Jehovah Jireh, the Lord Who Will Provide,
Adonai, the Lord Over All,
Jehovah Raah, the Lord our Shepherd?
Each name that God uses for Himself reveals an aspect of His character that helps us to know Him better. God’s names, character and nature remain the same through all generations. He is completely trustworthy, all powerful, eternally loving, and constantly present. Studying God’s divine names is a valuable way to discover and experience unique aspects of His character. As we identify and embrace these characteristics, we will be drawn into a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father.

“May your glorious name be blessed; may it be lifted up above all blessing and praise.”
The myriad names of God can help us to experience God’s majesty and the deep and abiding love he feels for us. God reveals His wonderful names to us so that we may encounter and experience Him in all these ways. While it is marvelous to read the inspiring names of God in the Bible, our true purpose is to come to know God on a personal level.

He wants to reveal himself to us in ways that will amaze and astonish us. As we read through and study the various names of God from Hebrew and Holy Scripture, we can better allow His presence to saturate our lives. We can enhance our relationship with God as we come to accurately understand the many aspects of His holy names. He longs for us to know Him to the fullest. These names reveal who God wants to be for you and for me.
May your glorious name be blessed; may it be lifted up above all blessing and praise.
Nehemiah 9:5
